Adios open water
« on: Nov 02, 2004, 03:40 PM »
I know this is an icefishing site, but I'm still gonna miss openwater. Here are some of my nicer pictures of fish this year!
18" beauty
[/img]
5" senko for perspective. 12 1/4" bluegill
[/img]
my certificate for master angler award. Soon to be catch and release state record
[/img]
really fat smallmouth
[/img]
18" largemouth

[/img]
great 12 1/2" bluegill

[/img]
great brown

[/img]
fat bass
[/img]
one of this years best bows on the colorado, 25"

[/img]
another big rainbow,  very girthy
[/img]
the old secret lake. over 200 fish easily in one day[/img]

I know i've posted these before on mff. just thought they were some of the best I posted.
if anybody from michigan will help me out with the lakes and stuff up here I'd really appreciate it since I'm new to the area.

I live in western slope of colorado, and I fish the colorado river mostly through open water. Icefishing, I fish vega reservoir, taylor reservoir, blue mesa reservoir, blue mesa reservoir, rio blanco, and a few  lakes on the mesa. I also am going to  hit crawford, highline if it freezes and maybe a few other local ponds if they freeze. If you want ice around thanksgiving island lake on the grand mesa should be safe. It has rainbows, brookies, a bunch of white suckers, and splake trout.
if anybody from michigan will help me out with the lakes and stuff up here I'd really appreciate it since I'm new to the area.
