In the rain
« on: Feb 14, 2008, 09:00 AM »
Did anybody fish yesterday in the rain?  My bro and I sat on Copake Lake all by ourselves jigging up a few perch and gills.  The ice was fine the fishing was fine-the rain stunk.  I thought I'd see some people out there.

It's takes extra to go out in the rain. I personally have never caught anything when it rains, summer or winter. Heard some stuff that when the barometer drops that the fish dont bite. I still go out though. Very hard to keep morale up in those conditions.

I made it out in the rain. 5 hours, 1 flag,1 pikerail :-\. I guess it was because of the pressure change.

Yeah, when it rains the crappie do seem to know it. Just a few feet under the ice like you said
It'll eat.
