Laker had a 12" looked like a brown trout in the stomach and 3 smelt.

Probably a salmon if the trout was from the KING but we better consult with CaptJJ on that one ;D  Nice laker by the way

holy cow, nice job.   but, how big a' hole did you need to get them pigs up through?  last ice season i had a laker on and it wouldn't fit through a 12 inch hole.  any answers on why it wouldn't?  it still taunts me, 1 year later.

lakers often roll when being tugged in on a line. winding the line on there body, when you got i to the hole it was likely tboned. you have to let them swim away with slight tention then turn them for another try at the hole.
i had it happen to me, the line was wraped on the dorsel fin.

On the topic of fish in other fish's mouths, we got a laker the other day that had about a 9" perch in its mouth, it was just about down to the bone, save a little bit of skin left on it..pretty wicked indeed. I also caught a perch a few days ago that had a rubber worm hanging out of its mouth..

get out there and fish...or hunt
