6 inch blades on a 5 inch Lazer

Instead of getting ANOTHER auger, Im thinking of putting 6" blades on a 5" lazer auger.  Will the holes line up?  Will it work?

you could get a 7 inch mora and put on 7 or 8 inch blades on

Mora has the same auger body for the 7" and 8" models. Just different blades.

nope the laser holes from the blade of a five are smaller then those of the 6 inch so the bolt holes don't line up. I think it is the same for the finbore cause they use the same blades as the laser...

check out the finbore 3 it is a great auger I think fish307.com a site sponsor carries them in full swing of sales so they may not have them right at the moment..... but I think they retail same as the laser augers but with a off set handle like the nils augers... worth every penny if you ask around...

maybe a adaptor plate? if the holes could not be drilled and taped? I think I looked at that going form the 5 to a 6 inch blade the holes were so close that they were right next to each other making a weak spot for the screws.. not sure at the moment since I gave my five to my brother and my 8 inch and my s3000 shanty for him and his kids to enjoy.... any how mite be worth a look at to see if they don't over lap at all to drill and tap new ones?   if it is possible that would be the way to go...

that would be so close your splitting hairs on space I just held up 6 blades on a frabill 5 easier just to swap out augers
