d.o.t. has disposable cans (dot 39) unlawful to refill, transport and big fines transporting them.
the flame king system is certified refillable 12 years per bottle. many of us have switched to the flame king system. their bottles have an air bleeder valve system that lets you know when it's 80% full, which is the maximum they can hold safely. and the other 20% is for expansion to keep the bottle from gassing or erupting.

You can just buy a fitting for $15 that will allow you to refill tanks. Still a lot cheaper than spending $40 on that kit.

I know but then you gotta deal with unscrewing, flipping, freezing, needlenose pliers garbage.

I put in a wellbuilt "expensive" can...squeeze trigger until full mist... remove... and put the next one in...

No needle nose, no concerns about the disposable bombs, no constantly flipping the tank upsidedown, rightside up, no "weighing" bottles"... just... done.

I've spent $35 in ALOT dumber places on alot dumber things.  But this is the wrong thread on that. You can search to find the other threads and comment further in one of them regarding the disposable vs. flamekings

Cabela's is having the helix 7 for 549 bucks for Black Friday cheapest I have ever seen it. Guess I should have waited but love the finder it worked great on the boat this year and see they have the ice pack with ice ducee for 249 or something in the ice fishing catalog.
