Nice pics and Pike!  How big?

32 and 31"  No weight.  There were 2 other smaller (26 and 28") in the "bowl of filets".  ;D
The bass (we caught 6 of them) all went back and 4 other pike went back.  I never take more than I will eat that night.  Had my whole family home for the holidays, so we did a number on that 5.8 lbs. of filets.  :P

awesome. good eatin right there.
If you consider it a sport to gather your food by drilling through 36 inches of ice and sitting there all day hoping that the food will swim by, you might live in northern New York

;D ;D  You put me on a walleye, on Oneida this winter and I'll show you how to fillet a pike.   :P  You might put pike a little higher on your preference list though ;)

Sounds like a fair trade to me, swap a (walleye) trip for them jumbo crappies up there on mile arm, and the occasional pike I hear as well. Lots of walleye here , come get them.

Is their access to the lake from that end, if so is it back bay camp grounds, thats what it's called now. Keep up the pics love to see those big pike. I have not camped their in over 8yrs, miss it alot.  ONEIDAEYES!

Yes - Black Lake.  The campground "Back Bay Campground" is closed for the winter.  Everything in there is private.  I do some technology work for the new owner, and trade for year-round access.  Problem is the road going back in there is terrible in the winter.  Now, with good ice, I just get on at somewhere "down-lake" with my wheeler and drive up the lake.  It's faster and good going.  Black Lake is an awesome fish factory.
CNY - Jumbo Crappie are hard to come by on Black Lake.  It's like catch 50 and keep one.

That pic came from a stationary web cam.  It sends a new pic to a server every few minutes.
