Cowbanks ice?
« on: Jan 17, 2019, 07:31 PM »
Has anyone been on at Cowbanks?  How much ice?
I'm stuck at home with a busted car--  otherwise I'd go check and report!   But I'm hoping to figure out a way to get there before the storm.   Or at least know how the ice is before it gets covered.
Thanks!

Don’t know how much ice but there have been people out on it the last few afternoons on my way home. Bunch of skaters out tonight. Ice looks like a pane of glass.

7 inches of black ice north of the Causeway outside of the marina according to Ron Swanson of The Islander. Should be good to go for Perchin' and some first ice salmon! Good luck.
Perch bait- a small minnow that can have big results in the ice fishing game.  :icefish:
