Hoping to find waxes for first ice hopefully I'm going to get to use them monday

For your area I would check Dad's Bait Shop in Afton...this time of year the bait shop is closed but he is selling bait out of his workshop next to his house 1 block west of the Bait shop in town. Or you can check with the Pier in Creston. Or if you are going to be in the Des Moines area im sure Johnston Bait Shop will be stocked up.

I'm going to call the pier tomorrow just didn't think anyone would have any yet because we never haven't fish able ice this early for several years

I know Afton has had them during the fall so Im sure he still should and I would assume the same with the Pier but I havent been there in a long time. If you strike out let me know and I can grab some in Des Moines.

If a baitshop doesn't have waxies a pet store, especially a larger one, usually does. People use waxies year-round as food for reptiles.

A month ago Afton had waxies or you could always order some online.

If you order them online this weekend they should arrive sometime during the week next week. You can go to jadabait or vados, both have great prices and ship quick.

I like that Theisens store I bought a new buddy heater heater there last year for $69 it was a great deal do they have a lot of ice gear there this year ??

I was in a hurry didn't even look at any of the ice fishing stuff. Got the waxies and got out.
