Leazenby

Today I made my first trip there this season. Ice is good at around a foot and the fishing wasn't bad either. Caught one rainbow and one brookie in about two hours, missed a couple more. There's a couple inches of crusty snow on the lake making it very easy to walk on(most seasons it's super slick).

Right on!
Fried eggs, hash browns, and a cup of joe.

I released the brookie but I just finished cooking the rainbow for lunch. There's something wrong with those fish. I peeled the skin off after it was cooked and there were black spots everywhere on the outside of the meat and there was a white substance in between the flakes of fish. I managed to eat a couple bites but I couldn't finish so I gave it to my dogs. Last year I only kept one fish from Leazenby and it didn't have the black spots but it did have that white goo throughout the meat. I will not be keeping anymore fish from that lake because I hate wasting meat. That's a shame.
