Antsy??  I've been converting lures to dropper rigs, building a new portable (#3), buying combos, underwater cameras, GPS plotting, watching vexilar DVD's for 20th time, reading last years reports, calling resorts trying to buy bargains (easier than you think after a lackluster summer)....

Ansty doesn't cover it.  I was up til 1 AM last night reading topo maps and fomulating a schedule of movements for first ice.  Short of sticking my head in the freezer with my new XML combo and jigging for last years smelt...I'm kind of losing my mind.   :P

With the weather we've been having lately, antsy would be an understatement.

Man Im hating the 10-day.  Many temps in the high 40s and a couple days getting into the 50s.   Chacking the Mill pond and twice now weve gotten  a half inch of ice on only to see it all go away.

Please God,  let there be a little ice.  At least just enought to fish on :angel

You want pathetic. Man I rigged up floating tip ups on my father in laws pond and yes I caught a small Pike. I NEED ICE. I heard some of the Iowa lakes are freezing over. I will see what the water temp is at Crystal cove tomorrow after work. If I get a chance on Sat. I will also check Powder Creek and Buckskin. See all you Nebraskans on the ice.

Good 3" of ice here on the Mill pond.  Am gonna try like hell to fish somewhere tomorrow.  Didnt venture out over 20' deep water with no rope around but want to try out some shallow sandhills lakes.

Nice can't wait to get out my self.  I have the second half of December off, hopefully we have good ice here in Ne or else I will be traveling.

Come on Arctic blast
