You mean presentation? (there is a spell check at the bottom when you post somthing) I read that the northland forage minnow is a good lure for big crappies.

No kidding? ::)

I do well with jigging Rapalas. When they are just not in the mood for aggressive jigging, i find that small spoons like 1/12 oz tipped with a small shiner does the trick

all depends on how the fish are biting, that is why you should try several presentations until you find something that works...first you need to know for a fact that there are fish under you, and then work the fish till you find something that they like...

I agree about presentations.  This past Friday a Hali Jig did the trick.  On Saturday they would just come up to the Hali and look at it.  I had to downsize to a size 14 Marmooska and if I could get it down fast enough I could catch them.  I usually always have three rods set up with different presentations incase they are not cooperating.

Ice.... - Did you have live bait on the Hali Jig?  I just bought a few and I'm not sure what works best with them??? waxie, a few spikes, a live minnow, a minnow head ????  I thought they work well for perch.  I didn't know they also worked on crappie  :o
