Ya, that too...powers been out, computer HD dumps (due to that friggin' power issue?), (medical tests weren't great either,) it's been just a great week.

But the kabobs were superb. It's the secret sauce meat soak and marinade basting that does it.  ;)

I may have a big bowl of strawberry swirl ice cream with fresh raspberries dumped on it. (That's my latest fetish) In fact, I'm gonna....and put my feet up, right now! Bye!   ;D

Looks like the first of those $5.99 strip steaks I stashed in the freezer when they were on that big sale a month or so ago. Was gonna eat it last nite, but my buddy and I hit our Mexican place again for lunch yday, and after stuffin' my mug, I was still too full to eat supper. A sandwich did the trick.
So, we'll find out tonight how good they are.

Good steak! Super tender!  :P Plus some spring salad and green tops.

The farm corn trucks are out and parked around...! I picked up 4 ears of bi-color. Gonna applewood smoke a pile of chicky drumsticks later, to go with the corn on the cob and my 'cukes in sour cream dill salad.  :P

Delicious.

Nice, surrounded by corn here, but it's all feed corn, and not much over knee high, way behind on it here, haven't seen much in the stores yet either.

For the late start the farmers got here, seems to be doing good. Little stands popping up all over, and trucks on corners filled with it. Prices really vary; depends on the place that sells it. I pulled out 4 big ears, and the guy said "make it 2 bucks". He had melons and 'maters, too. That's a good deal around here. What I don't understand, this is corn country, and people in Walmart are picking thru the bins of it in there, when right out front sit a couple trucks full of just-picked local corn. They're buying shipped -up-here Florida crap, which hurts our local growers. Why in god's name would ya buy that??!

Really, that's crazy, why buy something overpriced that sat in a whare house when you could support a local farmer by buying something fresh, makes no sense. I've heard some of the bad winds here this spring ruined a lot of crops and they had to be replanted, so even further behind here.

Very nice looking breakfast,we had biscuits and gravy.i just picked up lunch as in ham in a can liquid lunch.i have to disassemble a old homemade sawmill thats taking up way to much barn space.that might take quite  a few beers.

As I always say, "A well tuned sawmill (or engine)  takes a well-tuned mechanic"....

The torque required to remove that rusty nut is inversely proportional to the number of beers consumed.

A jazzed up sausage and pepperoni pizza. Added diced ham, purple onions, green peppers, and more pepperoni. No black olives 'cuz that another thing I can't find in the store...the ones I like.
