All these below freezing nites.  And the forecast actually looks like winter past the 15th. Ready to fish somewhere. Last year only two ice trips for me where low and simcoe. Sure like to do some fishing around here this year.   Mark

I’m itching to walk on Ohio water again, hopefully ponds in next 10 days and mosquito shortly after. I miss the shanty life

I plan on ice fishing Indian Jan 19.  With the temperature prediction there should be good ice. Only problem I see is with all this rain it will be a muddy mess  Not going to stop me though.  I didn’t get to ice fish one time last year due to lack of ice.

Still planning fishing Indian Friday.  Heard reports and saw pictures people were on the ice at Indian on Monday. Not thick enough for me yet.

I made it out for an hour this evening at a local spot. Ice was clear and hard but not 3”. Didn’t venture far from shore, had a couple marks and missed a Gil I presume. Another day or two and I’ll feel better about exploring. Felt good to walk on water again 🧊 🎣

Wallace lake had ice on Sunday. Should be good by this weekend. When I checked the island webcam it was all locked up out there which surprised me with a 35 degree lake temp at Toledo. Early ice spud away!!  Mark
