Ice on Woods?
« on: Feb 25, 2018, 04:13 PM »
Hey all
Thinking about a last minute trip West. Is there safe ice on Woods? It's A 2 plus hour ride, worth the travel?
Thanks in advance

Safe pike waters in the Berkshires as of today. I do not know about woods specifically. Won’t last much longer though

Onota had 8-10" of ice on Saturday. There are a few man eaters out there, my son's foot partially went through one spot so I opened it up for all to see, so be careful!! The boat ramp is toast but we were able to get on and off just to the left of the fishing pier.

Just use big silversides much easier to obtain.

According to the regs, hook and line only, no dip netting. And yes, these are going to make the trip to the ocean in a couple of months!!
