Brimfield Ponds

 Has anyone fished Brimfield?  Jsut moved here from Chicago and am looking for a place to fish as soon as the wheather cooperates.

I fished the brimfield res, "long pond".  You should do well there for bass, pickeral... there are pike but I have never caught any... supposidly the state record "was" held there for a while.  I do better on the part without the public beach.  Otherside of the road (route 20).

Thanks for the info,  I was beginning to think that no one fished on that lake.  I will make a trip out with my four year old son as soon as the ice is safe and post my results from the outing.  He is begging to go ice fishing. ;D

If you go off the boat ramp, to the right, through the area where it looks like an old railroad track was.  Keep to the left and there will be a point just before a cove.  There are a few logs/timber under the water and plenty of drops.  You will find a lot of pickeral action and some nice bass there.  I have not caught anything large there through the ice but plenty of action.  You might want to stay away from the cove, I have tried it through the ice and never had a flag but 50-75' away (before the cove) is better.  I catch bigger bass out of there in the summer.
