My Dad is a Senior Citizen; does the state of Ma require him to have a license??

Yes.........65-69 and over is about $18........70 or older it's FREE.
Check this thread..........

Mass resident adult license is $ 27.50 - and will run you $ 29.00 with the $1.50 retailers can make on them.  (fyi:) Jr licenses ages 15-17 for the year are $ 11.50  ( =$ 13.00 total).  Seniors, 65-69 years old pay $ 16.25 (= $ 17.75) and 70 years and older get the licenses for free.

Just happened to have the extracts here...65-69 is $16.25. Like Mugz said, over 70 is free...another 9 years....

Thanks guys, my dad is 72.  I'll be hitting the ice in Pembroke, Ma Thursday; did some scouting and found 2 local ponds with 4" black ice.  This board rocks!  We've all seen a certain board go down in flames because of the bs; thanks to our moderators and very cool members; this will not happen here. Just a bunch of really cool fishermen and women who love the sport!
