Springfield Area

Anyone from the Springfield area or fish the area?  I am wondering if there are any lakes that you can catch some salmon in & seeing who's out there around where I am.

im from the area and usually fish the oxbow and its other areas like twin ponds.  as for salmon i caught one last year up in belchertown i believe not sure of the lake ill have to ask my father where we were but i have caught some during the summer at lake metacomet

hey...try fishing lake metacomet in beltchertown or 5 mike in springfield

im from westfield and there arnt any realy close lakes or ponds to catch salmon. check out the masswildlife website, it has all the ponds and lakes that are stocked with salmon and trout, plus northerns and tigers.! good luck

Thanks for the info.  I was told from someone else fishing that the salmon they stock in 5mile and metacomet die after a few months if they are not caught.  I may try again over there, monster pickeral in 5 mile tho.
