Helix ice settings
« on: Dec 27, 2016, 08:07 PM »
ey guys. Just picked up a helix 7 gps/sonar unit. Converting it to an ice unit. Will be using the X1 9 20 ice ducer. Looking for some recommended settings for this unit on the ice. I will mostly be using the 2d sonar mode rather then flasher mode. I have read some guys say to turn ice fishing mode off and some say run it in ice mode? Any advice would be great as these units are fairly new on hard water

Here is a true story. Last ice season was my first and I took  my boat's HB 688 HD DI and put a ix9-20 ice ducer on it.  Today it crapped out and while on the ice I called HB to see what I could do. She said to send it back with receipt to show that it is in the one year warranty time frame.   Tonight I looked up my eBay purchase from United Outdoors.   It shows I bought it on eBay on 12/27/15.    Today is 12/27/16  exactly one year....  Now I know it took a few days to ship so hopefully they understand.  True Story.

Don't worry I am sure yours will be fine...
