King Quad heated grips
« on: Nov 11, 2017, 10:36 AM »
Guys I purchased some Tusk heated grips for my King Quad and was attempting to install them yesterday and noticed the new grips have a plastic inside which is covered by the traditional rubber. I tried putting the first grip on but it went on so tight that I quit. These things are so tight I’d never need glue. I called one shop and they said the glue would help with the grip sliding on then it sets up. Has anyone tried these Tusk grips and found this problem ? I don’t want to ruin them. I also saw where guys use hair spray went putting them on.

No experience with that brand, however, during install try spraying the handlebar & grip with a mix of dish soap & water. it'll take a while to dry & be easier to get adjusted with the tight fit. i've used a dead blow tapping lightly w/o issue.

Just wanted to give an update on the grips I purchased for my King Quad. I originally tried Tusk heated grips and they would absolutely not go on my handle bars ! Actually I ruined one side trying to put it on so I ordered a set of Heat Demon clamp on style and they are awesome and went on with no problem.

Nice, I also like their method of securing them.
