Big island lake

Hello gentleman . Successfully made it onto horseshoe lake (on the chain) last weekend without any issues. Was looking into walking out onto cedar island lake this coming weekend! Any help with where to go or not to in terms of safety I'd greatly appreciate it ! Only lake that's ever made me a little nervous
