Morning all! Just a quick report from the Park rapids area. Was out on 3rd crow wing last nite, 4-8 pm. Bite was slow, 14 crappies, 8 eaters. No big fish, but just enuf action to keep you awake. Travel on the lake wwas good, but off plowed roads wa dicey. Fish were in 23 ft. , and VERY inactive. Plain hook outfished all other options, about 4/1, with glow teardrop getting the biggest of the evening.Anyone with free time today that might be interested and wants an outing , Akeley is holding their Annual Audreys Purple Dream fishing derby, polar plunge and general hysteria today in Akely. Tourney entry is $10. All proceeds help cancer patients. This is a grass roots program geared towards helping cancer patients defray costs for the things that insurance etc. don't cover. C'mon out and wet a line.
