I've savoured alot of freshwater ling but in my books they are a close 2nd behind sturgeon. Different fish for different fishermen heh

Ive never Sunken my teeth into a sturg so il have to Take ur word on it. I cant even Recall ever seeing one taken or caught ...I need to expand my fishing horizon :>

bluegill and crappie are really good but walleye is king. thats my thoughts.

Perch,Northern pike, Walleye, L.M. Bass beleive it or not Crappie Bullhead. Thats for fresh water as for salt Mahi Mahi Blackend on a hard roll with lettuce tomatoe and mayo. Or a nice Tuna steak med rare. A good freind of mine works on a tug and runs bardges down to Florida and while their out they troll all the way down with clothes line and uses weed eater line for leader and hand lines the fish in when they get one. Last year he gave me a 35lb Mahi Mahi and boy that didnt last to long in the freezer I think we ate it in 2 settings and it took about 2wks. to get the smoke out of the house after blackening it. Just kidding but it was one great tasting fish! But in all honisty I'll try most any fish I love to fish and eat them!

Specks, lakers, or shaker salmon. Crappie are really good, and white fish.

#1. Sea Bass. #2. Cod. #3. Walleye. #4. Yellow Perch. #5. Bluegills.

Yellow Perch & Bluegills are what I eat mostly, as I don't get too many of the other kinds.

Gills along with Crappie!=

Lately I have enjoyed some catfish, seasoned with lemon pepper.
fried in an iron skillet. The taste is just great.

When I bake a carp=====on a board, I throw away the carp and eat the board!!!!! just funnin guys. all thow a smoked carp has some merrit.

Walleye, perch, crappie, sunnfish, sheepshead (saltwater), red snapper, pike, trout...

I love anything I caught myself. They always taste better when they are fresh.

bluegill/perch are number 1 out of freshwater - hands down. Walleye are perhaps the most overrated of all freshwater fish. They are good, but not that good. A very bland fish. Crappie are good in winter, otherwise the flesh tends to be too soft. How about smoked whitefish?? Now THERE is a darn good eating fish! Going seining for them this weekend!

Most any fresh fish is good if prepared properly. Cold water fish are especially tasty. For some reason fish and game that I have harvested myself always taste great.

The best IMO:
1. perch
2. crappie
3. walleye
4. lake trout
5. Northern (pickled)
6. sunfish

I love cod. Broiled with garlic and butter, salt and pepper. Trout baked outdoors on the fire same way is awesome.

#1 Perch

#3 Walleye

Fresh Water Boiled in salty water with caroway seeds added and then dipped in Butter. (Poorman's Lobster)
