when it suddenly goes right
« on: Feb 11, 2023, 06:36 AM »
yep, ever have one of those days where everything goes wrong and you're having a crap day but then you ice that one fish that makes the world right again? That was my day yesterday on Prompton. The wind was blowing so hard I was chasing gear all over the ice. Even my humminbird slid 50ft across the ice before I finally caught up to it. The wind was actually blowing tip ups out of holes and across the ice! Nothing was biting except 4-8" perch. They were only a little bit bigger than the minnows they were stealing.  :%$#!:

Then I hooked this girl and everything was right with the world!

My first muskie, 26". she went back of course. yeah, it's all good!

Fish don't have a lot of blood and it looks like most of that fishes blood is on the ice. You mite as well took that small muski  (14 " below legal )home cause it had 0 chance to survive .

yeah, no. No gaf. She was hooked in the gill and I got the hook out fine but she bit down on the pliers and bled a bit. I hope she didn't hurt herself too much and she slid back in and took off with no problem. But yeah, hey, thanks a bunch.

Thanks guys, I was surprised and it definitely made my day.
