I just use rod bag cases. Thorne Bros has a new 42" that hold 45" rods also. Marcum has the standup rod case and Clam has the clam chair. The rod bags have been great for me and I havent broke a rod yet.

Does the inside of the bag separate the rods and how many can you store.

bigredonice,
Very nice looking tote. Do you have to take combos apart?  Or does it hold 6 combos?

the pack holds up to 7 rod /reel combos that are ready to go (reel attached) but 5 combos is much easier.  It holds the rods in with two velcro strips...it doesn't exactly keep the rods separate, but I always wrap the line around the rod before I hook the jig into the grip and put it away, and that seems to keep things from tangling.   The only weak spot is that you cannot put a rod away that has a lure with a treble hook.  It will tangle.
