Anyone have any experience ice fishing the Gold Creek dredge ponds?
-
I have fly fished them. There are some nice fish in there. Not sure how the ice would be. They are pretty small and spring fed.

slow fishing. Nice browns.

We are talking Gold Creek between Missoula and Deer Lodge? I believe they are private property, but he will likely let you on if you ask. I haven't fished them but also hear they can hold some pigs.

Never fish the hardwater there, but fly fished it quite a bit this summer. Mostly 15-16 inchers with the occasional pig in the 23-24 inch Browns. The pond is loaded with scuds and chroinomid. So try small stuff, because I out fish the streamer and rapala guys there with them!....also agree, the owners was quite nice too! FYI...just respect his property...otherwise this will become another "CLOSED" private pond/lake for all of us!

Undersood. Greatly appreciate all the input. It's a long way from the Bitterroot, but always looking for new ideas.
