crappie movements

what r the movements of crappies during the ice season. dont they stay shallow then go deep then shallow again??

I think they move shallow in early ice, deep in mid ice, and shallow at late ice so your right.

I find them suspended more when they start moving back shallow.

I CAUGHT THEM IN 4 ' OF WATER LATE ICE DEPENDS ON FEED AND TEMP. OF WATER.LATE ICE MOSTLY UNDER 10' FOW SUSPENDED AT 5'.

on lake shamplain we get them in 5 to 10 feet all year
