I remember I think in the early 80s I was at the pond hand drilling well over 2’ ran to town and bought a model 30 jiffy by  the time the freeze subsided I was bottoming out 1 more day and I would have had to spud , in those days  we drove  our trucks out ,
Now you are talking icefishing..

I can remember when I was a kid, walking out of mill street with my uncle. A bucket, two rods and a spud. He’d tell me to spud holes as he fished.Had to be 2’ or more of ice. He always had a away of getting limits before I finished spudding holes. 🤨 crazy ol buzzard!!

Nicely done Rugburn.

I remember spudding holes like it was yesterday KP. That was always fun. 2' deep hole would be about 2' across too.  :woot:

Same amount in Constantia. That will slow the ice making down for a bit.

quite a bad situation up at Chaumont today........blizzard conditions popped up rather quickly apparently and stranded some guys in blinding whiteout conditions......quite a descriptive report on Chaumont Hardwares website.......kudos to Greg for some quick thinking........this kind of thing can happen out of nowhere......scary stuff

Definitely scary stuff...they are lucky the guy's Navionics worked during that whiteout rescue....sometimes the GPS fails during whiteouts and blizzards. Compass should be carried by all out on the ice, especially big lakes.
Glad everyone got off safe without frostbite or worse.
My boots on some ice... A line down a hole...Some fish on the screen... And a flag in the air !......Winter is Good !!

It was online. Didn’t get a chance to read beyond the description of the graphic yet.
