And So It Begins..........
« on: Nov 17, 2009, 11:03 PM »
I drove by Fonenelle today and discovered the North end ( up by the Seedskadee sign ) has ice. I didn't have time to check it out. It wasn't there a week ago, so if you go, PLEASE check it first.
Lippy said that the City Res above Kemmerer is capped. Again, This is new ice.
 It won't be long now.
 Be safe.

Got a report this morning that poison is iced over, not sure on how much though.
I'd rather do it on the ice

I'm all excited now! I plan to be out there or shooting waterfowl pretty much every day from Dec. 12 til Jan. 9.

Anyone been to Ocean checking lately? I wouldn't mind slamming some jumbo perch!

2 questions-
I moved to WYO this year, so be forewarned I don't know every puddle like I did in my homestate yet.

Where is poison creek? I did a google search and there wasn't much info. (sheridan?)
What species are present?

So many fish, so little time.

After doing my work on Boysen out of the Lander office, from what I saw, there are two other sustainable populations in there. With the high amounts of shoreline vegetation, bass and bluegill are actively reproducing in Boysen. I doubt much will come of it with all the predators in there already, but ya never know  ;D

I had to break  an inch of ice to get 10 yards out to pitch decoys at Boysen today...it was frozen over north of the spillway to about Poison Creek...? Yeah...about there...the danged geese were sitting on it 300 yards out  ::)

Made it out on Boysen yesterday, 3 1/2" of ice, was a touch scary but it was pretty unproductive, not enough ice to get anywhere worth fishin yet, Next weekend though!
I'd rather do it on the ice
