uh, no, those are terrible jigs... should probably just send them down here and save yourself the embarrassment.

Work great.  Just be careful with the hook.  It is a thin hook and I have broken them trying to rip them out of fish mouths.

They were the go to jig for me last year. I have never had a jig catch fish like a hali!

I was turned onto them by fishhead, they catch fish!  You can easily replace the hooks on them, just cut the chain off and attach the hook to the jig body.

Best perch Jig out there.  I caught more fish than anyone around me fishing another lure.  My favorite is the white glo.

I love the jigs, but the chains are junk. I replaced all mine with a 2" sting'r hook from Northland.

I like The Fiskas bi medal jigs better than a Hali. Your Bobbers Down has them in several sizes. In sweden they call then Perks...not jigs. They have all shapes and sizes but the Fishas ones are good. Killers for Perch and Ciscoes.

Tried them and hated the hooks. Why can't they upgrade to a decnt hook that doesn't bend sooo easily? We get eyes while perch fishing and it's almost a given the hook will bend.

Especially in deep water.  They're heavy.  Don't forget to pound the bottom once in a while.  That cloud of mud seems to bring in fish.
I enjoy that perfect peace -- that peace beyond all understanding, which comes at it's maximum, only to the man who has given up golf.

I love how heavy they are. I have tipped them with worms, smelt chunks, salmon eggs, meal worms, gulp bait, pearch eyes and all have proven good bait for smelt, pearch, lakers, gills, and rainbows too.

they're a pretty sweet jig, but I usualy end up having to replace the hook or chain after a while. I keep a few in my box pre tied with a heaier mono stinger instead of the chain because sometimes the lakers will only hit the hali's and I dont wanna trust a dinky hook/chain on a 20 inch fish.

I agree with slamming the jig against the bottom every few minutes, I usualy watch my vex light up a minute or two after I stir up some mud.

Most people I know; when they say Hali jig, they're referring to the Hali Sukkula.

cnyiceboy, I use the Hali Sukkula 25 AYF and 25 AFRG with a couple of maggots. I've caught Bluegills, Perch, Crappies, Bullhead, Pickerel, Rainbow...

Hali jigs are by far my favorite lure for perch.  I usually tip them with a minnow head though I have used wax worms and maggots as well.  Those hooks can be a problem though.  While fishing Simcoe last winter, I lost a pike because the hook broke.

If you tip them with a mealworm right in the middle of them and bounce it slightly the mealworm bounces from side to side because the chain tightens and slackens and really drives them nuts. Ive put the chains on 5 of diamonds (size 7 len thompson) and have had very good success.

I have been checking out Youtube trying to find some video for examples on how to fish these things. I have picked up a few of them and read about them here, but really have no clue on proper technique.

You can't really fish them wrong, pack the hook with maggots and drop it to the bottom fast. Let it hit the bottom hard so youstir up a little silt and reel up about a foot. From there I like to deadstick it a little and hold on, if there are perch in the area it won't take long to get them to bite. If you have a flasher you can tease them up a few feet and make them bite....
