That sounds like a good idea. I liked ice fishing on that lake. I did a bachelor party, rented a really nice nine man shack from Izatys. Caught a nice 27" walter that weekend. We also limited out on perch.
I hope to make it.
Its gonna be a cold one this weekend on Boulder.
I love ice.

If I can swing the time I'm in too! I was bummed that the weather stopped us last year. I'm still anxiously waiting to pull a Walleye through the ice as it's been about 25 years.

Walleye will be closed in March. $:-\$

March is about the only time we can count on good ice and temps above zero.

I will start sending some emails out to see if any resorts want to host this. I figure we better find some plowed roads! Things may be different by March, but I am counting on another 2 feet of snow by then. $:-\$

try somplace on southend seems like that may work better for everyone!

I tossed a line out with a resort at the ice show, but they never bit. I will be checking the southern half of the lake for a resort.

I would really like to attend this event, sounds like a great get together of Minnesota fishermen. We planned a week in Florida this year and unfortunately we fly out Saturday morning March 14. If I have to miss it, Florida is a pretty good trade off though. Maybe next year, I bet you guys will have a blast though and I hope the fishing is the best ever that day! Warmfeet

Any suggestions? We can still move dates, and Mille Lacs is not set in granite either.

The biggest thing is lake access, Mille Lacs has plowed roads. We can leave from a publick if the snow is not to deep on any other lake.

We still want to do Mille Lacs? Unless we get a bunch more snow, I dont think we will need to worrk about snow anymore.

Yea i think so . The last report that i heard out od hunters was 13>14 inch perch. Id be willing to come over the day before the event and do some hole poping .

Brandts is a pretty good place thats where my dads house is but they had a little mishap with it so sounds like thats all she wrote for that house
