it is frozen to sweetbrier, however the island out from sweetbrier that’s in the middle of the way... yeah, you gotta swim in open water to get to it.

Forecast has changed for this weekend. Saturday is .25" rain with .50" Saturday night. Showers Sunday morning. Anything that froze last night and this morning might not last through the rain.

Tough bite yesterday. Lots of smaller finicky perch. Around 330 it picked up considerably. Bigger size and more aggressive.

Had 3-4 off MDB yesterday afternoon. stayed on the white ice almost got to 40 ft water. lots of people, no fish.

Decent day on perch. Ice thickness varies. My buddy drilled a hole 50' from where we were fishing all morning and ice was half the thickness in that spot. Top got little soft throughout day.

On 2" or less to catch a perch?! No thanks! I just don't get taking any risk to catch a measly perch. I can go out in the boat in the spring and limit out 4 guys in 2hrs on the boat.

Planned a trip for Feb. 7th thru 10th with a group of 10 house already rented. If ice is no good what other lakes in the area besides Schroon Lake are worth a try.
