OH GOODY, State my love of hardwater fishing on FB and I'll have knuckleheads sending me flags along with hugs and kisses and invites to Mafia wars and Farmville.

No thanks. I get in enough trouble right here on the grumpy board.  ;D
If I agreed with you we would both be wrong!

Yea KP, Some days it is more fun then a man should be allowed to have.

I really would rather be fishing but on those super cold or windy days I stay here and watch for flags and every once in a while I catch a sucker. ;D

Facebook is a joke! Best way to meet friends is to get out on the ice and shoot the crap with the guys out there...

You know what, I am only 21 and have never been involved in facebook or myspace or any of that garbage. You got it right. I dont have any friends either. They just create more problems or just cut into fishing time! The only buddy I have is my buddy heater and to be honest thats just the way I like it!

I get to buisness. Having friends means having people wanting to go ice fishing which equals me waiting around for them all morning to get out of bed!

I dont even bother. If my old man says he wants to go the night before with me and hes still sleeping I dont even bother waking him up. Just leave. Figure if somebody wants to go bad enough they would be ready to go. I also dont like to ask other people to go because then I have to listen to them cry if the fish arent biting or if they get cold. When I go I like to fish, end of story

Nope ice doesn't last long here and not going to waste time on facebook....
You don't want my true feelings about facebook....

I concur....not a really positive thing for society as a whole, in my humble opinion....the whole 'instant gratification' thing has things a bit off currently....

Gonna get rid of text messaging on my phone next.  If you wanna catch me, let's have a conversation.  Send pics to my e-mail cuz they all end up on the computer anyway.

I'm not against technology...all for it actually....just time for me to do a gut check personnally on what the really important things are.  Not sure it is 'Friending' some guy that knows a guy that I went to school with in the 4th grade just to see how many 'friends' I can have.

And who really wants to get a message about the great pizza the neighbor's paper boy had last night because you are 'friends' with the neighbor and the neighbor is 'friends' with the babysitter, and the babysitter is 'friends' with the neighbor's paper boy....(Yes I broke down and tried it for about 6 months....what a waste of time).

It all seems ridiculous to me....but I am REALLY in the minority, it seems....

Just think...... if all that time texting and 'friending' by the great young minds of our future were being used to create a constructive way out of our current situation instead of creating a generation of the next, 'what's in it for me'?

Good question!!

Face Book will come back to haunt many in the very near future. I'll be able to show my grand kids what their mother was doing when she was 18, stupid and drunk. You all can have right at it and enjoy the social revolution. I think it is nothing but dangerous and too much information and I am sticking with it. I do love sitting back with pop corn and watching from a distance the stupid things you young ones are doing. We did it too but many of the witnesses are dead now or have that old age disease CRAFT, Can't remember a Fing Thing.

Ding ding ding we have a WINNER !!!!

Hats off to you friend this says it all .

I agree with gamalot and timber. All you FB users better stay prepared for a big crash. I just fish! Don't care to share my feeeeelings. I fish and when I'm not fishing, shanty is as almost as good as fishing.
