Yup they are just white perch but we had a blast. I dont know who had more fun, him or I. It was a blast to say the least and to see the younger generation on the ice really makes me happy. I would like to see more kids out there.

Awesome Im glad you got on them. must not have been to many augers around spooking fish today 4 buckets is a good haul! looks a hundred pounds or more congrats!! Look at that smile, Ill be there for one last go in the morning. the price fell out but maybe I'll catch enough to pay for gas and some fish chowda!

I do all types of fishing; but I am Die hard Ice angler.
I love Ice Fishing the lakes of Rutland County. Recently moved to NY and now will be Ice fishing the Lakes Of New York.

Id like to thank everyone that was kind enough to share information about the white perch bite. It's about a hour and a half drive for me so the information is greatly appreciated. My son always says "I'm going to remember this spot so I can come back when I get older". I love it.

Congrats to you and your son!!  Glad you were able to get on them before the ice is gone.  We had a blast out there Saturday, catching 100lbs ourselves.
