We got into the smelt tonight. After my 19 year old fishing partner counted up the 69 smelted he bolted to tell his girlfriend how many fish we caught ;D After he dragged the sled through 2ft of snow uphill to my truck. freakin snow is BRUTAL.

Come on get on the ice fish!!

we fished till 10 to. Same spot for the past month within 50ft. 8-930 was dead. 6-730 has been hot, hot. they were picking up pretty good when we left, but somebody had steeltoe boots and couldn't feel his toes. Yes Joe the new rod is getting a workout and covered in scales. I have been using a hali, white or silver with a bibbit about a foot above it. for bait I buy a couple minnows and slice little slivers out of the filets. The bites are literally nonstop the trick is getting them onto the ice
Come on get on the ice fish!!
