Thinking of Heading to Joe's Tomorrow
« on: Jan 25, 2014, 03:40 PM »
Hey folks,

Hope the weekend fishing is treating everyone well. Had a good day up at Magog today, and was thinking of heading to Joe's tomorrow in the morning for a quick, close-to-home morning trip. I am NOT asking for location tips/times/anything else specific, and probably won't even keep anything after today's outing. I've just never been there before in the winter, and was wondering if it'd be worth jigging over there in general or if I should look elsewhere. Thanks a lot, enjoy the rest of the weekend.

I got a bunch of smelt today, only set out two tip ups because I didn't want to chase wind flags today. Black and gold Hali was what they wanted. The bite was decent early around 9-10 (got a late start) and then slow for much of the day until around 3:30 when it was on FIRE.
The charm of fishing is that it is the pursuit of what is elusive but attainable,
a perpetual series of occasions for hope.
