the other kind.

Does anyone have luck catching white perch thru the ice on Champlain? I can usually find the yellow perch but prefer to eat white perch. There seems to be thousands of them in the open water, right up to ice time, and then again shortly after ice out. Do they go deep or dormant when the lake freezes over? Sure would like to catch a mess..........easy to fillet, taste good and fun on the end of a line. Any advice or tips would be great!

I've got fairly good numbers of them off west swanton, south of the alburg bridge, though I don't target them. Take the last left before the bridge and fish through there.

a perpetual series of occasions for hope.
