Boy a night or two after around 0 after this week would do wonders for the ice. I'm shocked at the lack of ice in areas. Of course it doesn't help that there's 16 inches of snow on top of 6 inches of ice.
-
Their was D*mn near 20 inches would be my bet on the reservoir today

I spent over 8 hours gettin my hardside off Island Pond on Saturday. Stuck 4 times, had to be towed out.
-
Definately need the thaw to settle this crap down and then freeze up for better travel!!!

Well, its raining here, today, in the NEK. ;D Its been a bad year, for ice fishing, up here, to drive safety on the ice, with your truck, snowmobile, atv, etc. If you can use your snowshoes, then more power to you, as I heard, with the water, slush, they even freeze up, with all of it. Hope for better ice conditions, for the remaining time, we have for ice fishing this year.

We had 50* and sun here around noontime, clouding up and getting a little rain right now and down to 42* and falling. If nothing else the thaw will hopefully create a thick crust we can walk on.

AMEN TO THAT!!!

im keeping my fingers crossed for a good 2nd half after this thaw brings the snow down and sets up for good traveling on the ice...
the weekends to fish are getting fewer!

Hopefully we get a good hard crust to walk on !!
