Starting the New Year off right
« on: Jan 01, 2007, 08:42 PM »
Went back to were I took my dad and son the other day to have a good try at it myself. Got a late start  ::) and things were a bit slow to begin with but I managed to get a few nice ones today.  Felt good to put in a full day working over a new place and figuring it out ;D  Here's a few pics-

A little pike

A 19 inch bass

A few nice perch

The weather went from bad to worse during the day and the forcast for the next week is just about enough to make a guy cry :'(  Lets hope the weatherman is wrong and we all get some nice COLD weather!!  Happy New Year everyone 8)

Way to go Dave!  Glad to see you got on some!  :) I'll be headed back up there next weekend if you're interested in fishing.  Hopefully that good ice will hold out, and maybe get thicker!

those are totally awesome.  ;D hope that it all holds, glad to see some more quality fish on the ice. It's 1st ice for us but we are about to head into the middle ice season. I can't wait to get back out on the hard stuff. Keep the pictures coming and the cold air holding that ice that we have.

Head north... Small waters up there are frozen, so giving a name could easily result in a swarm of people to a small lake.  :%$#!: If you find the ice...that's great.  But I don't think many people are going to be giving away locations anytime soon...

That's like giving up the backyard gold mine. Fat chance. The boat goes in Saturday for sure. Oneida or Sodus.

Not giving away where the ice is seams a little bit whats the word im looking for oh yea selfish. I thought the whole point of this site was to find out about locations and ice conditions.
Days get shorter nights get longer, ice gets thicker life gets better.

Thanks everyone for the compliments ;)  I wish that there were more places to fish safely, but there just aren't at this time :'(  Zach is right, the few places we are able to fish are very small and some are quite remote.  I would never give up the locations of these spots to the masses.  When conditions improve I usually post what Colby and Clear are like and that is what I contribute to this site.  On a brighter note-  The ice seemed to hold it's own pretty well today, hopefully it doesent start raining,  If we get through this weekend with temps like today we might be able to start hitting some of the bigger waters pretty soon ::)  Come on COLD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
