Wisconsin Long Rods...
« on: Feb 20, 2019, 02:37 PM »
I fished Okoboji, IA this past weekend. What a blast!!! We were fishing for gills and panfish when a group rolled up, popped some holes, and were using longer rods without reels.  Can't remember if there were guides or not but definitely a spring bobber.  They were about 4' in length or so.  Why? And what are they called?

If you were fishing shallow water, they were probably "pulsators".  The line goes through the rod blank.  Good for 6' or shallower.
