Caspian ice condition

You know how much ice on Caspian?
Saturday will I need my snowmobile or my truck will be Ok?

Haven't been by there, but am willing to bet it's safe. Seems to always be safe on opening day.

Considering the truck on Mallett's last night plowing for the pond hockey games, I'd say probably Caspian will be good.
I fished it last night and there's 10" ice everywhere I was out by the hump, closer to the launch was even thicker.
BTW, fishing stunk too, only a single dink yellow and tried numerous spots from hump, to cliffs to weedline in anchor area...nothing!

I’m assuming he meant mallets but if not that’s a pretty honest confession
i told myself id be back by 2 i guess i didnt factor in that the fish were biting

There was 14 inches off birch point.   Jigged  up a few smaller Lakers.   
 Some wet spots made it a little tricky with the truck.
