Good lookin' stuff prospector and a boat load of fun too. I also have a toaster oven and just pile all the unpainted jigs in there to heat 'em for painting. Much easier and quieter than having a heat gun going all the time. Also made these clamps to cure jigs. Hanging from a rack often made a little drip on the nose of the jig. Now it just runs down against the silicone in the clamp and will snap right off. Just a couple pieces of scrap aluminum angle with a strip of high temp silicone material on one side. The new ones are fresh metal and secure with a couple of thumbscrews. Before that I had a rack I made with 3/16" all thread. Kept the jigs from sliding together and getting stuck.
Still thinking about how to dip without getting paint on the eye. Saw your trick early in the vid, I'll have to see how that goes.
Can't say how many thousands of jigs I poured and painted with that stinky vinyl stuff with pretty much zero ventilation. At least I'm not making babies anymore and the ones I did make aren't too messed up
Now I've got a bathroom vent to the outside and a 4" duct that can be moved right above the lead pot. All powder paint so no more stink.
