Automated jigging machine invented by a WI fellow.  Price is rather expensive, but looks impressive.

Google the Gill O Tine, and see what it's all about.

You can pay me...I'll jig it for you and then hand the rod over to you when I hook a fish.  ;)

Too many dollars to pay to not fish. It's neat but almost does too much.  At a lower price point I'd maybe buy one just for the heck of it but for $450 nope

Pair it with an electric reel and smartphone alarm and you won’t even need to leave the shack, just pick your frozen fish off the line when they are all tripped.

Kinda takes the fishing out of fishing. I like to feel the strike as much as I like reeling it in.

I am a big tech head. But this is a little toooooo much even for me. Price point and engineering just too much for ice fishing.
Other may feel different but I predict a rather short career for this equipment.

it's like a jawjacker... but it's like, I can buy 10 or 12 jawjackers for the price of that thing. I'm sure some one with deep pockets will buy the thing just because... but it looks like someone just waaaaay over thought this.

Larry Smith uses them on his show. I'm not a fan of them. I think it takes the fun and sport out of fishing.  I'm sure guys said the same thing about flashers though.  Luckily since they are expensive I don't think they will become too popular.

If they were more reasonable I might be inclined to play with one (and only one) because I just like to play with stuff. I could never get away from a direct connection because that's the real fun, at least it is for me.

BTW, it's always a channel flip between Larry and John to see what I want to watch the most. Eventually I catch both. I think with a little practice Larry can be all the ham that Gillespie is...  :o
To fish or not to fish? That's a stupid question!

Auto jiggers do have their place, but that is way too much and way more complicated than it needs to be.

I think I'll stick to the motorvator at $75 for jigging my rattle wheels in the shack if I think they need jigged.  For outside I'd use a jaw jacker or a wind tipup.....at $450 it is like the EZ ducer that goes on a vex. To expensive to solve something that's not really a problem.
