Any one know why the the perch are so small?  My average perch were 8-9".

I know people who have averaged over 10"...I guess like all fishing it depends on the location.

Anybody know what the NW Bay is like? I'm itchin to get out on my yak, but if it's still locked up i obviously wont be heading there. The past few years I've been out on there about now, but this year has certainly been and icier one.

When I came down from Ticonderoga last Friday Northwest Bay was iced over to Tongue mtn. Bolton/Vets was mostly open water.

Thanks! Sunday is going to be so windy I want to get on the Yak saturday. Just trying to find open water (and an open trout season) seems to be a struggle. Might make a run out to Ontario to see if any of the big browns are roaming the shallows yet.

I need to do that myself.  Need to put a new tank and lines in.  Replace starter.  Lakers first....if I can find them.  Troopers on 87 brutal today.  Got ticket for going 10 over...

I was sinking in about 2 inches on every step on the way off yesterday ... got to shore, cracked open an IPA and officially called it quits on an outstanding season 😎   Tons of fish, one epic day i may never see again and numerous fish that took my jig all the way to the bottom.

Almost every fish i saw yesterday was suicidal. Ended up with a dozen and if i was more on the ball I could have had 20😎
