I have a cabin on a chain of lakes that has very poor bottom contour information. What I would like to do is get a plotter that I can use with my phone that will read the bottom and update it in the Navionics app. What are my options for this? I would rather not spend a ton of money on a plotter, but would be nice to cruise around in a boat and map the bottom.

The thing is that I only need it for 2 lakes, which would take a day. I guess my best option would be to try to pick one up used.....

does anyone else have bottom contour info? humminbird? garmin? etc?

Might as well just buy a helix 5 and use it for ice as well, I have the sonar phone and it works ok but has some issues staying connected. The maps seem to be just ok as well

I see you're in st cloud, how close is your cabin to Fargo. I could possibly borrow you mine

Cabin is in Western Wisconsin. Thinking I might just go with a Helix 7.....
