My son and I found a good blue gill bite.
The fish very active. We drilled holes from deep to sallow. Found fish to be in 5' of water in weeds that are still green.
Still about 2' of ice, with most of the snow melted. No bait stores open.
Plastics and ice flys worked well. Kept enough fish for a family fish fry.

Ditto a couple hundred miles east. We were marking them, but they didn't start biting until sunset, then it was fast and furious.
