We fished 7 days off PIB west shore with good results, peach and eyes. Pulled the shanty to the ramp until snow and wind subside. There is open water east of PIB.

Like between Kelly's and south bass, or dew east of PIB?
Funniest thing about ice fishing for me is when people who know nothing about ice activities try to warn me about the dangers of the ice...

I have been on the ice for 2 weeks west of PIB with mixed results. I caught walleye near Rattle before the warm up and then moved in in front of the ship house. Tuesday I caught a nice mess of perch. There is still thin ice in areas and very windy.

Very dense fog this morning. Waiting to see if it lifts. Had a banner day yesterday.  Not quite our limit but ample.

This is the ice looking at the ice ramp on South bass Island, on the west side of the island. It was taken today at about 4 p.m.

I was on the island fishing for three weeks this year. I got my fix! It helps I own a home there at the airport. There's always a chance there'll still be ice when I return. If not, it's up to you guys!
