moisture build-up
« on: Dec 03, 2005, 06:43 AM »
I have a problem with the windows on my Fish Trap guide fogging up. I would welcome any ideas on how to cheaply and efficiently "clear up" the problem. Thanks

There is a post from Mac in either equpment or shanties board he used a 12volt computer fan and hooks it to his battery to circulate the air.

how about a little rain-x. Don't know if it will hurt the final windows, but it sure works on windshields.

I had that problem in my Guide a few years back. All I did was open the side vents while the heater was on and it eliminated most of the fogging.

You could try hitting a hockey equipment store they sell a product that prevents the same thing on hockey helmet visors,i think its call anti-fog or something like that.worked well when i use to play.just a suggestion.

Just plain liquid dish soap. Wipe it on with your fingers and leave it alone do not wipe off. Its been 20 yrs sense I played and forgot this one! And as a goalie I didnt need it anyways lol. It does work well.

You can also use the anti-fogging stuff made for ski goggles.  It comes in a small canister and wipes on with a paper towel.  Just wipe it on and wipe it off.  Done.
