Nice looking machine.  Curious - do you know what # of teeth are on your front/rear drive sprokets?

had the the tracked outlander couple of years now not so good on glare ice
I just went to a local ATV store and bought a box of Kold Kutter ice studs. They work great. I just look over the tracks periodically and replace whatever ones are missing. No more sliding on glare ice! They just screw in.

got any pics? i thought of that but was leary because of tear outs and wrecking a track that'd be pricey

I did that on my Camoplast Tatou 4s tracks more than 5 years ago.  Have not lost one yet.  I don't go spinning the tracks out much though and I don't run them on anything but snow and ice.  They work great.  The 4s tracks have the "spots" made for the screws/studs.  If you don't want that you could always put in the expensive snowmobile trsack studs.

I don't think I took any pics. I'll try to remember to take some when I recheck them. They do come out. I haven't noticed any damage. I don't get real long ones. They come in lots of sizes. I just get the 5/8" screws and use a driver. It's really easy. I have total control even on the slickest ice.

You know I didn't really count. I went every other bar if I remember. I believe I got a couple of bags of 250, and that got me through a couple of years. I just ordered a bag of Kold Kutters last night on Ebay for $25 I think. That should last me a couple more years.

Thanks !  have a bag of 250 enroute. Should be enough for the front tires. I have a set of diamond pattern, studded chains coming for the rear.

We have a tilt bed car trailer we haul it on. I was going to buy a Ranger and track it up with cab and heat.  I figured I would need a trailer to haul that too.

The jeep setup was 4 k less than a loaded Polaris Ranger on tracks.

I thought about something like this before I bought my ATV. The thing I kept telling myself was that I wanted an ATV so I could ride it on ice my truck was too heavy for. This would have defeated the purpose for me. For areas where ice is thick enough for season long useability, this would be a dream.
