Studs, their not exactly cheap but you will thank yourself for the investment if you have problems with spinning on the ice. Then get some good carbides and it will ride like its on rails on the ice and go exactly where you want it to go

it turns fine but the track doesnt have studs and borrowed the sled so what would happen if i put a bunch off small screws in the track like people put in there wheeler tires

No pictures of it on the ice yet because I bought it in August and have yet to hit the ice. Going to Montana the end of the month for a 14 day trip so I will get some picture of it decked out with my gear. She is a 2013 Can Am 1000 Outlander XT and she is a beast.
Being in the great outdoors is not a matter of life or death. Its far more important than that!

Neat setup!  What are those ski's on the front wheels called?  I've seen those on a few machines, but I have no idea what they're called..

thanks wipike, I fabricated these. I used a pair of old articat skis. I since, have built a tire jig on the skies, so that now I can just drive on them and the tire sets solid on the skis, makes everything more stable when turning.

I got the idea and many others from this site. Great site!
The pale holders, hitch, and I used conduit runners under my trap, all great ideas from members of this site, works great!

If I was worried about safety, I would not be on this forum lol....

It is fun, driving your boat up the ramp, and across the parking lot to your truck/trailer..  ;D

Thanks again all!!

Be safe in the off season..
