Questions... questions... questions
« on: Feb 17, 2013, 12:49 AM »
So i spent two to three hours fileting fish tonight as i normally do and had question after question running through my head.... so here they are....

Q #1
if we will clean perch that are the same size as what is known to most as a dink white bass, why wont most people keep the whit bass? i get a little more off of a white bass the size of the perch in Utah than the perch.....

Q #2
Am i the only one who when fileting white bass or perch save the silvery belly fat chunks i cut off for bait for walleye, white bass, and perch? i put it in a bag and freeze till the night before use....

Q #3
i met a guy on the ice today who freezes whole dink white bass without cleaning them and than uses them to catch cats after ice off and such.... anyone else done this? does it work well? i don't eat cats but they are sure fun to catch and release....

thanks in advance for answers guys and gals.....

There are places where perch can be used.  There are places where perch cannot be used.  Strawberry and Currant Creek are examples.  White Bass are only legal as bait in Utah Lake.
